Making Things Happen was: a turning point that forced me to figure out what my biggest dreams are in this world, understand the excuses I make for not going for those dreams, the fears that hold me back, the distractions I need to cut out, and the motivation to fight to do something meaningful with my life and my business. MTH is simply a tool to help you discover what's hiding in your heart. I realized I have a desire to write, to reach people, and to inspire them with my photography. What I have made happen since, big and small: I have begun rebranding my business, blogging more personally and openly, and building a more meaningful client base. What I'm working hard on now: Pushing myself to do photography projects that push me to be better and that also frighten me. What I love about the MTH community: They are the living reminder to me that fear of rejection is normal but that pushing back is more rewarding. They push me to fight when I worry I will fail. Best advice to others on how to make things happen: Figure out the excuses you make and the distractions you allow to stop you from actually doing what you want to do. You are the one in charge of your life. The biggest thing I learned from MTH: Life is too short to settle. Before MTH, I never thought I'd: Be fighting so hard to make the little things in my day matter. But I find that they do. Making plans and sticking to them. What's ahead for me: Taking my photography business to the next level. Reaching out to others through my transparent struggles on my blog. Figuring out how to risk more. Writing a book. I am living with intention today. In this moment. I am fighting.
