Making Things Happen was a blessing to me beyond words. I left fired up, encouraged, and unafraid. I learned more about my fears, my dreams, and myself in one day than I had in a very long time. I have attended twice, and I am now more ready than ever to make change and make a difference. Making Things Happen has motivated me to be open, honest, and give 100%. To know that no dream is too small if I put my mind to it was liberating. As a wedding gown designer, I designed a collection of bridal gowns and debuted them at NYC's Bridal Fashion week just 6 short months after taking huge leaps of faith at MTH. The biggest thing I feel I've made happen however is the ability to manage my business and personal life in a balanced way. I no longer put family and God aside to do work. I have learned to prioritize the things that are important in my life, and also do a job I love at the same time. I want to work with charities and donate proceeds from each gown sold to make a difference in someone's life. I'm working hard so I can do mission work and give back. It's hard to describe in words what a blessing this community as been to me. I have made life long friends. Each of them has a God given talent. Seeing their stories motivates me to press forward and do what I love. I am nothing but grateful for this community. Turn off the noise in your life. Spend more time doing what you love and you'll be incredibly blessed and have much more time to do it. Biggest Thing I learned from MTH is that I t's ok to fail, it's not okay to not try. I've learned to push myself and accept setbacks. I now learn from them and move forward. I am happy in my life and giving back.
